Also sold as a Vietnamese balsam or salve, it carries the gold star on a small red tin. Made in Vietnam by Pharmaceutical TW3 from a formula first created in 1961 and in mass production since 1969.

HOW IT FEELS Warm a small dab between your fingertips and massage it in. Menthol and camphor give the cool-then-warm sensation the tin is known for, while eucalyptus, peppermint and cajuput essential oils carry the bright green aroma. It rubs in without leaving an oily film, so a shirt can go straight back on. WHERE PEOPLE USE IT Shoulders and the back of the neck after a day at a desk. Calves and feet after a long walk or a long flight. Wrists and hands after driving. As part of a massage, on its own or worked over a carrier oil.
